7 healthy habits to keep you healthy, year-round

Day 1: Set realistic goals (that speak to you)

Who are we kidding? Don’t rush out of bed today, even if you wake up. There’s nothing wrong with starting the new decade with ease and relaxation. Instead of rushing out to the gym or going out for brunch just to ‘feel good’, enjoy a day of thinking, pondering, and exploring your vision for the future.

Performing an at-home Omega-3 dried blood spot test

Register your BalanceTest ID at and take a photo of your test code. Now you’re ready to complete the blood test and post the results.

1. Wash your hands

Use adequate soap and warm water to clean your hands. 

2. Sanitize your finger

Focus on the tip of your middle finger when using the alcohol wipe.

3. Prick your finger

Place the lancet against the lower part of your fingertip. Press firmly until you hear a click.

4. Collect your blood

Without touching the paper, add a minimum of three free dripping blood drops to each circle on the sample card. The blood should completely fill the inner part of the circles.

5. Let it dry

Rest your sample on the table. Leave to dry at room temperature for 10 minutes.

6. Place in the bag

Insert the sample card back into the paper envelope and place it into the metal bag. Don’t remove the desiccant packet.

7. Post it

Put the closed metal bag into the large envelope with the laboratory address on it. Don’t forget the stamps. Send it within two days to keep it fresh.

8. Register your details

Visit and register your test ID to get notified when your Omega test results are ready. This usually takes 10-20 days.
